I am Weary

Weariness  is defined as:
1 : exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor, or freshness

2 : expressing or characteristic of weariness

3 : having one's patience, tolerance, or pleasure exhausted

I have to tell you, today this describes me to a T.   I am so weary!  I have had my fill of my children's endless chatter, always asking questions that really need no answer.  My children, like most children, talk non-stop from sun up till sun down.  Where can I escape?

I tried to escape them at the grocery store the other day.  I decided to take advantage of the child care center in the store.  I had never used it and thought what a marvelous idea!  I can grocery shop without 4 little helpers.  Wrong- they only take kids 3-8 so the child I most wanted to put in their I couldn't.  Then half way through my shopping I heard my name being paged over the loud speaker- seriously, I was only gone 30 minutes before someone had to use the bathroom!

I tried to escape them at the YMCA so I could exercise- I end up finding my youngest two in time out because they were fighting with each other.  I am so weary of the fighting!   I am even weary in my exercising~ what started out so fun has become a chore.  I have made it to 18 pounds lost and now and stuck trying to lose the last 12.

I am weary with the decisions that life brings us.  Do I send my kids to camp or not?

Do we home school again in the fall or send them to private school?   Where are we going to live in the fall?

And I am even weary in blogging.  I have sent out over 30 emails to company's and only 1 of them responded.  I would like to start a new segment on my blog all about Handmade products, again no response.
It's just all so wearisome.

Then I remember the following verses:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matt.11:28

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal. 6:9

Hopefully the next time I am feeling weary I can call these verses to mind and know that it is not all in vain and there is someone ready to give me rest.

Convenience OR Cost

This has been the question on my mind lately when I go grocery shopping.  Where I live I have two stores that are both about 2 minutes away.  If I turn left I end up at TOPS grocery store, if I turn right I end up at Wegman's.  Now both are fine stores, but both of them are expensive!  When I lived in Texas we had HEB and to me that is the best grocery store anywhere, you don't need a special card, there stuff is always on sale.  Here in New York it's another story.  If I want to get my groceries at a cheap price, then Wal-Mart is the answer.  For the record, I hate despise Wal-Mart, but love their selection and prices.
So here is my dilemma.  Do I shop where it is convenient or do I shop where I know I will pay less?
About two weeks ago I talked my husband into taking the whole family to Wal-Mart and to get groceries.  He relented and we drove the 25 minutes to Wal-Mart, spent about 30 minutes getting groceries, and then he headed to the car with three of the kids while I got in line.  He timed me, and it was not pretty.  Every five minutes I got a text- what's taking so long?  I finally made it out- 35 minutes later, we still had to drive 25 minutes home.  Hubby was whining about the groceries melting, kids where whining because it took so long, you get the picture.  I got home and unloaded groceries and found that the ice cream sandwiches and the bananas where not in the bags- I was furious.   And hubby said- I told you so!  Why do you drive all the way out there to shop, when you have two stores minutes from the house?
Because I am cheap!  It kills me when I know how much something costs at one store and another store has a huge mark up on it.
So I wonder is Convenience better than Cost?  What do think?

Differences between the first child and the last child.

With four children in the house things are a bit hectic crazy.  Last weekend we were driving and the youngest, who is almost two was screaming bloody murder, which she seems to do quite frequently now a days.  My husband said in between screams, " I don't remember the other kids acting like her!"
I started thinking about how different it is now with four kids, instead of when it was just one child.

Remember when you had your first child and went to church for the first time or just out in public?
I kept her in her car seat when ever we went to Church so no one could touch her!  I also didn't put her in nursery until she was 5 months old!  Then came the second baby, I still kept her in her car seat, because of germs, but the nursery was a welcome relief at three months!  Third baby- I would use the car seat, until I put him in the nursery at 2 months.  Fourth child- would somebody please take this child and take her right to
the nursery- pretty much as soon as they would take her she went straight to nursery!

Remember when your first child started  to want sweets?
My first child I wouldn't let have sweets, and when my sister snuck her ice cream at 1 year old I was mad!  The first kid is not aloud to have gum, lollipops, candy, etc....but by the time the last kid comes around, you are screaming somebody get the kids some M&M's!!!

With the first child nap time is a sacred ritual done at exactly the same time of day every day without fail.
Last child, is lucky to get a nap where ever they can drop.

First child and germs~ everything was washed and sanitized, labeled with all pertinent information.
Last child- 5 second rule, just blow on it and eat it.  And as for being labeled?  If you can find your name under all the other names then it must be yours!

If you only have one child you may not know what I am talking about, and you will say that won't happen to me!  Trust me, by the time the last kid is born you are so exhausted you just go with the flow!

Why are we always last?

The WE I am referring to is MOMS.  Why are we the ones who are always last?  I was reminded of this yesterday as I was getting my family something to eat.
It was late and everyone was hungry, so I was running around getting what everyone asked for.  Everyone was ate the table eating when my daughter came up to get seconds.  Then she stopped and said "Mom, aren't you going to eat?"   I replied sure, but when you are the Mom you eat when everyone else has  their food.

Why do we as Moms put ourselves last?
For example all I have to do is look in the mirror and I know I have put myself last- I need a hair cut like you would not believe, but I still can't find the time for ME to go get it done!  I need to have blood work done, um it was supposed to be done last week, but again, finding the time is so hard!
Are you like this?   Do you always put yourself last?
If you have found a way not be be last, would you share it with me, I would love to hear how you do it!

This weekend is Mother's Day~ I hope that if you are like me and can't find the time for yourself, that this weekend you are able to find just a little bit of ME time!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game.....

Friday night my hubby called me at 5:00 p.m. and said "Let's take the kids to a ball game".  Not wanting to be a spoil sport I said sure, let me get two kids out of the tub and dressed, get the house picked up, and get myself  dressed!  He said "be ready when I get home".  Needless to say we ran as fast as we could to get ready!
The kids were super excited, I however knew that baseball and an almost two year old toddler do not go hand in hand.

We purchased the Family 4 Pack- (could someone tell me why everything comes only as a 4 pack?  You never see a  family pack of 6) any way--the Family pack was 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 drinks, and a souvenir mini-bat- all for $56.00-yikes!  We were told that the younger two kids could sit on our laps and they could get in free.

Enter the stadium~ why can't men ask for directions???  Instead of asking the attendant to show us our seats. hubby wanted to do it himself, which led to him telling someone that they had our seats, she insisted she had the right seats- finally he asked- we had the wrong seats ***blush***.  We were shown our seats and we all squished in- it wasn't full so thankfully all the kids except baby girl had their own seats.

After two minutes of sitting, everyone proclaimed to be hungry so I got to be the designated food getter.  I made the mistake of first going to get the free souvenir bat, then went and waited in line to get our food.
Thank goodness some of it was free!  I shoved the bat in my back pocket, and then proceeded to carry 4 drinks, four hot dogs, and two fries back to my hungry crowd.

We ate the yummy food- hot dogs always taste better at the ball park!  Then I gave the 4 kids the 1 bat souvenir- can you say mistake!  The poor lady in front of us accidentally got hit with it a few times, before it got taken away.

Here are few reasons I don't like baseball games:
  • they take way too long
  • I am scared to death someone is going to get hit by a ball
  • all the alcohol that it being drank~ hello, these people then get on the road and drive!
  • did I mention they take way too long
We were on the third base line, so I was a nervous wreck, there was nothing to stop the ball from hitting anyone, and at one point someone did get hit by a ball only it was along the first base line.
At some point a lady sat down behind us and proceeded to tell her whole life's story and all it's problems in detail to her friend, as LOUD as she could.  I was so close to turning around and telling  asking her to be quiet, thankfully I don't think my kids heard her, but my ears were burning!  My hubby said- "that was no lady!" that's how crude she was.

Three hours into the game and I am on my sixth trip up and down to either the bathroom or just to let the little one walk around~ I was so ready to go home, but as luck would  have it they announced it was Friday night and Friday night is Fireworks!
As I am sitting there with the toddler girl who is getting grumpier and grumpier my lap begins to feel warm~ yes, you guessed it- the diaper has started to leak!
Now I really want to go home!  To the dismay of my three older kids who are enjoying the game we decide we had enough baseball for one night~ we bribe the kids with ice cream instead of fireworks and headed home!

Lesson learned- do not take an almost 2 year old to a baseball game!

Chick-Fila-A ~ Oh, how I love you

It is no secret that Chick-Fil-A is my family's favorite place to eat.  When we moved from Texas to New York, we discovered that there is no Chick-Fil-A in our area.  In fact, the closest one is in another state 2 1/2 hours away.
Guess what we did this weekend?  Yep, we drove to another state just to eat at our beloved Chick-Fil-A!  We haven't eaten there in almost 5 months!  We were some very happy people when we left there!
In case you have never eaten at or heard of Chick-Fil-A let me just tell you why we love it.
10 Reasons why we love Chick-Fil-A
  1. The chicken is the best- it is fried in peanut oil, so it tastes so much better!
  2. Waffle Fries- need I say more.
  3. Hand-made Homespun Milkshakes
  4. Ice dream- that is what their ice cream is called.
  5. They serve breakfast~ yes I have been know to eat at Chick-fil-a for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  6. Kid Meals- they are much cheaper than any other kid meal I have ever gotten.
  7. Kid Meal toy- you will find a book or educational toy- no junk, and some restaurants will let you trade in the toy for an ice dream cone.
  8. Soup- my favorite chicken noodle soup ever!
  9. Family nights- most franchises will have a family or kid night with an activity for the kids or kids eat free with a paying adult.
  10. They are closed on Sundays~ I love that they do this, though we have forgotten and driven up only to remember that it was a Sunday and they were closed.
I could go on and on, but you get my point!
I will say this, we had visited so many times, that one of the employees actually recognized my kids at a sporting event, and called out to them by name! I asked my kids who she was and they said it's the Chick-fil-a lady, Mom.  I was a little embarrassed that she knew us only because we were always at her restaurant!

***Disclaimer*** I was not paid for this post, nor am I affiliated with Chick-fil-a. These are my own thoughts and this is my own opinion and yours may differ.   I would never say no if they offered though!!!

Would you please put some clothes on!

Yes, you in the front row on the exercise machine at the gym.  I am sick and tired of having to look at your backside and having to watch as your shorts get shorter and shorter.  I do not want a view of your behind!

This is what I had to see at the gym the other day.  This young girl who is wearing a tiny, tiny pair of shorts, you know the kind with writing across the butt.  I will never know why you would want wording going across your butt, you might as well post a sign that says "Look at my rear".  Anyway, this poor girl had on a camisole which did nothing but show her bra, and these little shorts.  The shorts were so small that her butt cheeks were hanging out, and her underwear were riding up.  So she gets on the machine in front of me and all she can do is keep yanking at her underwear which keep going farther and farther up. She really didn't exercise much because she was too busy pulling at her underwear.  I felt bad for her, but was annoyed at the same time.  She was a teenager, who in their right mind would let their kid go out of the house like this.

Then their is the girl on the track who's shorts are so small they leave nothing to the imagination.  Why?  Do these young girls think that the young boys are the only ones looking at their bodies?  Chances are it's the gross old man who is a pervert who is going to be the one looking.

Parents~ Wake up!  Why would you want some pervert looking at your daughters?  Take some parental authority and teach your daughters how to dress.  Don't get me wrong, you don't have to wear a dress to your ankles to be modest.   But do you really want your girls to be wearing something that is going to have people staring at her?

What you wear says a lot about you
A few weeks ago we were driving around, it was a warm day, and walking down the sidewalk were two young girls wearing cut-off shorts and bikini tops.  It was not the beach, and it was not hot out!  My eight year old turned around to stare, and she said, Mom why are they dressed like that?
You know what their lack of clothes said to me- I have no self respect and I don't care what people think of me.   Again, why would a parent let their girls go out like that?

We as moms and dads need to set the example and teach our girls that what we wear does matter, whether we are at the gym or the park, our clothes have a lot to say about us.

What do they say about you?

Wanted: A Friend

Do you have a friend?  I mean a true, stand with you, whatever may come, friend?  I can honestly say I do not.  I signed up to review a book by Lisa Whelchel about friendship, I just received it and haven't started it yet, but it got me to thinking about my lack of a true friend.

Before some of you read this and say "wait, I thought I was your friend" let me get through this post and then maybe you will see what I mean.

The short version:
I grew up in a small town, and had one childhood friend, the kind of friend that you do everything with- sleepovers, camp, school, church, everything.  Then the teenage years hit, and we are no longer allowed to continue the friendship, because of the direction or lack of that my best friend is headed. (Mom if you are reading this- I totally understand why, and would do the same thing with my own kids.)
The teenage years for me were not about "girl" friends, but about boyfriends. The college years had "friends" that are "friends" in college but don't continue much past that except an occasional status update via facebook
Marriage brings a whole new opening for friendship, unfortunately for me when you move every couple of years it is hard to have a lasting friendship.  I did have a super good friend ( who is probably reading this) yes, you are my friend, but we once again moved, and life happens and friendship is hard long distance. Maybe it doesn't have to be- maybe I will get some pointers once I read the book, we'll see.

I think over time I have given up on finding and keeping that true friend, you know the kind that you can tell everything too, you can hang out with, the kind that likes your husband and your kids (all of them).

I decided to look up the word Friend and according to dictionary.com the meaning of Friend is: a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.

After reading that I can honestly say I do not have that true friend.  Here is what breaks my heart- my children don't have a friend either- sadly their first and only true friends that they have had the last four years are back in Texas.  I am so sad for my kids - birthday's are right around the corner and they don't have a single friend to invite.   I don't want that for my kids.  Thankfully children make friends better than adults, and if we stay in one spot long enough they will have friends.   I am not writing to get your sympathy- but to ask you to take a step back and look at yourself.  Do you have a friend, do your children?  Are you a good friend?  Do you try to make new friends or are you happy with what you have?

As I move alot I know that once someone is an adult they often have a life filled with everything they need, including friends, but have you thought that maybe there is someone out there that may need a friend?  Maybe you are that friend!

The Bible says in Proverbs 18:24 A man [that hath] friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend [that] sticketh closer than a brother.

Update on my goals for 2010

In January of this year I wrote about my goals for the year.  One of my goals was to lose weight.  It is now mid-April and I am four months into my journey.  I have lost a total of 14 pounds so far.  At first my goal was to lose 20 pounds, but I have  moved that to 30 pounds- just about half way there!  I am not overweight, but having 4 kids in 8 years does something to one's body, and I want my old body back!
You may be wondering how am I doing it? There are several things- diet and exercise!

We joined the YMCA- I love that they have a child watch program for all my kids.  My older girls get to go play in the Adventure Room, which they love, and the younger two go in the nursery- they also like it, but they love the Adventure Room more.  So four times a week I am getting my exercise in and some "free" time away from the kids!

As for the diet, I am not dieting, I am changing my eating habits.  When we lived in Texas we ate out alot- I mean ALOT, several times a week, plus the kids and I would go to Chick-fil-a for lunch a few times a week- they don't have Chick-fil-a here in New York (sigh) so we are not eating out as much.  Also I have cut back the soda (another goal).  Dr. Pepper is my favorite drink, they don't serve it here in New York very often, and they have a dumb tax on sodas, so I am being cheap and not buying it.  This has really helped me with unnecessary calories, as I was drinking probably 3 glasses a day of soda, now it's water, water, water.

So there you have it, diet and exercise - the key to me losing half of what my goal is for the year 2010.  Now my only problem is my clothes aren't fitting, and I hate shopping, and now I just may have to go to the store *sigh*.

If you made goals for the year I would love to hear what they are and how you are doing!

The Dinner Dilema

As a mom of four children with very different tastes I am having a hard time when it comes to dinner.  I am not a short order cook, nor do I want to be.  Our rule has always been you get what is given to you and you eat it.  You don't like it, then you don't eat.  I know it sound harsh, but with four kids they would all choose to eat something different if I offered it.
My problem is I am not good at sticking with this, I end up feeling bad that they didn't eat, and I end up giving them something to snack on.
My mom suggested that if they didn't like what was for dinner then I should give them a bowl of cereal.  The problem with that is they would eat cereal every meal if I let them, they like it that much.
So I am looking for helpful comments as to what your meal time rules are.  Do you let your kids pick and choose?  Are you a short order cook?  Do you make them eat what ever is served or do you only cook kid friendly meals?

One other thing- chicken is one thing everyone will eat.  I like to put skinless, boneless chicken breasts in the crockpot and cook up a bunch for use through out the week.  I am looking for some good recipes to make using shredded chicken.  If you have a good recipe or know of a good recipe site please pass it on to me.

On the move again

If you have been a follower of 1 Prince and 3 Princesses for awhile you will know that we have been in the midst of a move.  If you are new to my blog, here is a little bit of what is going on.  We put our house on the market in August of 2009.  My hubby received a job transfer from South Texas to Buffalo, N.Y.  At Christmas the kids all stayed in Pa with my parents, and my hubby and I came to Pa in mid- January.  We have been living with my parents since January and my hubby has been commuting 2 hours one way to work.  Well, on Wednesday the 24th our house finally sold!  No, it wasn't the best offer, but to be done with the worry and stress of selling a house that is thousands of miles away, we took the offer.
And now today we are moving yet again!  This time to an apartment that is close to hubby's work- no more 4 hour drives for him!!!  I can not believe I am moving our family of 6 into a tiny, three-bedroom apartment, but that is what I am doing today.  So I have been busy trying to get as many posts done, so that in the event that I don't get my computer set up, my posts should still be up and running.
And as for us who knows we may just move again before the year is over!   Just a side note-We have lived in  North Carolina, Virginia, Texas and now New York, all in the eleven years we have been married~
Wish me luck~ and have a great weekend!

How much is too much?

How much TIME is to much when it comes to blogging?  I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Am I spending to much time in blogger land?  I really enjoy looking at new blogs, entering giveaways, and writing my own posts.  But at what cost?  Am I ignoring my children and hubby?

Here's the thing though- it's the only thing I do outside of taking care of the kids, homeschooling, laundry, dinner, cleaning- you get the idea!  Right now this is my only "me" time.  I rarely watch T.V. anymore, I haven't scrap booked in ages (about 2 kids ago).  Is it "wrong" to have a "me" time activity?

I used to only blog during nap time and after the kids went to bed.  Then with the move, we are still living with my parents, though that is soon about to change- we are renting a 2 bedroom condo soon (more on that later), my schedule has been a bit more relaxed, so I have a little bit of extra time, and blogging has become addictive. I try to have my reviews and posts done in advance, and I do not post on weekends, but still I wonder am I spending too much time blogging?
My question to you is: How much time do you spend blogging?  Do you have a schedule?  Any ideas, or advice?

My love-hate relationship with the gym.....

If you remember one of my goals for the year 2010 is to lose 20 pounds.  About 3 weeks ago my hubby and I decided to sign up for a family membership to the YMCA.  I was really excited, mostly for the kids, so they would be able to sign up for activities. I was also glad that they had a nursery, and that the younger two kids would have someplace to go, if I ever decided to enter the gym.
You may ask, why do I hate the gym?  It's so intimidating.  I hate going into a place where I don't know anything about the equipment. I hate seeing all the people who are already in shape, and I am not.  What if I don't know how to work the equipment?  What if I am not dressed right? Yes, I worry about that.  I am not buying silly little work out clothes!
Anyhow, we went two days in a row- it was really nice.  The first day, I only walked the track- but I did two miles!  The next day, I asked my hubby to show me how to use this machine that looked like fun- it wasn't! I really hurt after that~
Then reality  hit- we are currently 35 minutes away from the Y, and by the time I get all four kids around, and work around our school schedule, I am not in the mood to go to the Y.
Hopefully when we get settled into our rental we will be closer and that will help me want to go.  We had a week of the nasty bug, and we were all sick.  But I am happy to report I have lost 8 pounds so far!!!
I hope to keep motivated as I really want to lose all my "baby" weight.
I would love to hear from you~How do you keep motivated in losing weight or in exercise~

Who's been sleeping in my bed?

On Monday my husband and I had to go away overnight.  Since he was at work, I was the one who got to check in to the hotel.  After getting the keys, and dragging the suitcases up to the elevator I finally found our room.  I walked in and stopped, something didn't look quite right.  There was a cup on the sink, so I said Hello?
Nothing, so I walked a little bit farther, the bathroom door was open, the light was on, and a towel was on the floor.  I started to get nervous, and walked into the next room, the bed had been slept in -thankfully no one was in it!  I called the front desk, and then I had to drag my stuff all the way back down stairs and get a new room~ thankfully this time it was a clean room and no one was in my bed!  I felt a little like Goldilocks and the Three Bears!

Some Tips when buying or selling a home

If you have been following my blog very long, you will know that "big" things have been going on in our family. If you are new to my blog you can check the back links here and here. The short story is we have moved from Texas to New York, though we aren't in New York yet, but staying with my parents until we sell our house. Yes, that's right the four kids, myself, and my hubby have invaded my parents house~ we must sell our house!
With all that being said, I thought I would share some tips dealing with selling or buying a home.

If you are going to be selling your home here are a few things to remember:
  1. Take it down! You are going to be moving anyway, so get it off the walls and pack it up.
  2. Clean, Clean, Clean~ nobody wants to go into a dirty house. (When we were looking at houses, it was amazing that people didn't clean up before we went in.  Trust me nobody wants to see your dirty underwear on the floor~ yes, I actually went into a house, and had to step over the dirty clothes!)
  3. Leave the house when someone is coming for a showing~ nothing is more awkward then meeting the seller of the house!
If you are going to be buying a home here are a few things to remember when going through homes.
  1. Be on time! Nothing is more irritating than having a scheduled showing and the people being late or even early.  I had people show up an hour before they were supposed to be there, as well as an hour after the appointment was scheduled.
  2. Do NOT let your kids go crazy in someone else's home- it's not yours yet!  Don't let them eat food in the house when on tour! I do not enjoy cleaning up your kids cheeto's~after I spent all day cleaning it!
  3. Do NOT use the bathroom~ someone used ours, and I knew this because the man left the toilet seat up~ yuck!
Well those are the things that have irritated me these past few weeks~hopefully our house will sell soon and we can go to part 2~ building our new home!

Heroes

Do your kids like sports? Who do they look up to in the sports world? I honestly don't want my kids to look up to sports players, because one there aren't very many to look up too, and second their priorities in life leave very little to be desired. But if you stop and think about it kids have their favorite players, and most of these players are going to "fall", and then comes the disappointment.
The reason I ask is because lately all their is on television  is the fall of sports players. I was thinking how do you explain to your kids all the junk that these "heroes" are going through. Don't get me wrong, these men and women bring it upon themselves, and I don't condone any of the stuff that is going on in the sports world.
I personally am a college basketball fan~ college sports are the best to watch because the kids play to win, and for the love of the game, not because they are getting paid obscene amounts of money to play a game.

Here is a side note that deals a little with sports players~ it's a youtube video of Britt Hume's take on Christianity and Tiger Woods.  Hope you enjoy it~

Searching for

an apartment online and over the phone today. Yuck! This whole moving thing is getting stressful. We still haven't sold our current home here in Texas, so now I get the job of searching for a place via the phone and internet~ did I mention I am doing this from Texas, and the "new" place is New York. We still have my mom's place open to us, but the hubby needs a place near work. So the 6 of us our going to try living in a 2 bedroom apartment~ I am trying to think of this as an adventure ~ and the prize at the end is a new home, with lots of room for us all!
Here is the back story and how it all began.

Homeschool 101

I never in a million years thought I would be a home school mom. I always had hoped that I would be able to put my kids in a nice, private, Christian school. I dreamed of the day my kids would get to go to school and I would have hours of quiet freedom.
Then reality hit!
My first two girls went to school for two years at a private Christian school, but that doesn't always mean that it's a right fit.
So without any other alternative, home school it was.
The first was great, because it was all new, and exciting. Then this year rolled around and I was dreading it, I couldn't wait till we got our transfer, and I dreamed of putting them in a school again.
Then reality hit!
Why on earth is private Christian schools so darned expensive?! So we still have the remainder of this school year to go, and I know that next school year we will be home schooling again. You know what? When I told my daughter, who is 8, that we would be home schooling again next year, she said "That's okay mom, I like home school!"
So I am wondering~ Do you home school? If you do I would love for you to share with me what curriculum you use and how it's going for you.

My goals for 2010

I don't really like to make New Year Resolutions, because honestly who really follows through with them. But I decided to make some goals for the year instead.

My first goal is to get our home sold, so that we can continue with building a new one.

Second, I really need to stop drinking soda, I know that sounds dumb, but I LOVE Dr. Pepper, and could drink it 24/7.  My hubby told me the other day he read that drinking soda can add like 10 pounds on a person, so yes I really need to quit, or at the very least limit it to one glass a day!

Third, would be to read my Bible daily.

Fourth, lose 20 pounds.  I have had 4 children, I am not fat, just not the way I used to be.

Fifth, I want to be a better wife, and mother.  I need patience!  Being a wife, and home school mom is not easy.

And last, my goal for my blog is to get more followers, post daily, and have some awesome giveaways!
