As children we have all heard the song Oh, Be Careful Little Eyes....have you ever stopped to think, really think about the words? Casting Crowns has an amazing song, called Slow Fade. I love this song and wanted to share it with you. I can honestly say that I know people that if they had only stopped to think what they were doing and what they were ruining. It is a slow fade, and the consequences of a ruined family, ruined life, ruined everything, they last forever. If only they had stopped and thought of the words Oh, Be Careful....
Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.
Jeremiah 5:25

Heroes
Do your kids like sports? Who do they look up to in the sports world? I honestly don't want my kids to look up to sports players, because one there aren't very many to look up too, and second their priorities in life leave very little to be desired. But if you stop and think about it kids have their favorite players, and most of these players are going to "fall", and then comes the disappointment.
The reason I ask is because lately all their is on television is the fall of sports players. I was thinking how do you explain to your kids all the junk that these "heroes" are going through. Don't get me wrong, these men and women bring it upon themselves, and I don't condone any of the stuff that is going on in the sports world.
I personally am a college basketball fan~ college sports are the best to watch because the kids play to win, and for the love of the game, not because they are getting paid obscene amounts of money to play a game.
Here is a side note that deals a little with sports players~ it's a youtube video of Britt Hume's take on Christianity and Tiger Woods. Hope you enjoy it~
