My goals for 2010

I don't really like to make New Year Resolutions, because honestly who really follows through with them. But I decided to make some goals for the year instead.

My first goal is to get our home sold, so that we can continue with building a new one.

Second, I really need to stop drinking soda, I know that sounds dumb, but I LOVE Dr. Pepper, and could drink it 24/7.  My hubby told me the other day he read that drinking soda can add like 10 pounds on a person, so yes I really need to quit, or at the very least limit it to one glass a day!

Third, would be to read my Bible daily.

Fourth, lose 20 pounds.  I have had 4 children, I am not fat, just not the way I used to be.

Fifth, I want to be a better wife, and mother.  I need patience!  Being a wife, and home school mom is not easy.

And last, my goal for my blog is to get more followers, post daily, and have some awesome giveaways!

Hi there! I saw your blog on SITS and decided to stop by to say, "hello". I'll be sure to add your site to my "follow" list! I can relate to you on some levels.

I too love soda (Coca-cola) and have been slowly weaning myself off. Of course I also like coffee so that should probably go as well. :)

I love studying God's word every day and make an effort to do so. I have a faith based blog where I write almost daily about my walk with Christ. :)

I love reading Matthew 7:5 and Proverbs 31 books. My favorites are RESPECTABLE SINS by Jerry Bridges and THE EXCELLENT WIFE by Martha Peace. I'm getting ready to start the book THE POWER OF A PRAYING WIFE by Stormie Omartian. I also enjoy parenting books like DON'T MAKE ME COUNT TO THREE by Ginger Plowman and SHEPHERDING A CHILD'S HEART by Tripp.

And I too homeschool. There are four children in my houshold but I only homeschool two. The other two are older. (One is about to start college and the other is halfway through high school.)

It is nice to "meet" you. I look forward to reading your blog more. Best wishes with your house and in the new year.

Kindest regards,
Brook

Nice goals.. I haven't drank pop in forever! It's hard to quite, the stuff is just too yummy. But I need to lose this baby weight. (just remind yourself your drinking useless calories! It helps me. Plus, it should help with your weightloss goal.)

My goal is to look extra good in my swimsuit this year. (no bikini, I am a mother not a supermodel! ha)
