The Sound Snatcher - Childrens Book Review

The Sound Snatcher - How the Vacuum Cleaner Got Its Noise was written by Linda Bryan Sabin. The Sound Snatcher is a noisy and hungry vacuum looking for sounds to snatch.  If you have a child who fears the vacuum and is afraid of its noise then this is the perfect book for them.

This is the story of the sound snatcher, a hungry vacuum, looking for sounds to devour.  Your child will go on a journey in the day of a vacuum cleaner.  Each page is brightly illustrated, and on each page you will also see the Peeking Kitty.  The Peeking Kitty is not a primary character of the book, but a major feature in it.

About the Author:
Linda Bryan Sabin lives in California with her husband.  She says she was born a teacher and a writer and her goal is to acquaint young readers with the beauty and magic of the written and spoken word.

I really liked the book and I especially liked the fact that after the story their is a section called Let's Talk about the Book, a question and answer section about the book.  I think this is a great feature especially if the book is read to a group of children. I also like the section called The Words I Heard, all the words from the book are listed with their meaning and pronunciation.  A great resources for children and a fun way to learn new words.

The Sound Snatcher can be purchased for $14.95 here and can also be found on Amazon.  You can find more information about Linda Bryan Sabin and see what other books she has to offer here.  You can also follow her on twitter and facebook.

***Disclaimer*** I was not paid for this review, I was sent a free copy of this book.  Thank you to Linda Bryan Sabin for send me the review copy.

That sounds like a great little book. I'm going to look into that.
