New York City Part 4

The kids had a blast playing in Central Park.  It was a beautiful day and they enjoyed the giant sandbox.

New York City Part 3

One of our favorite shows is The Cake Boss on TLC.  Since Carlo's Bakery is so close to NYC we stopped on our way home.  It is unbelievable!  The line was extremely long and people were a bit crazy hoping to get a look at Buddy. 
Once inside the bakery you are given a number, inside we waited about an hour- that is not counting the wait outside just to get in!
We were lucky enough that Buddy came out and the older girls got to "shake" his hand!  We bought cupcakes and a beautiful cake, as well as chocolate covered strawberries, and some cookies- delicious!

New York City Part 2

The older girls and I went to see the Broadway play of Mary Poppins.  It was fantastic!  A little different than the movie with a few extra songs, but my girls loved it and were on the edge of their seats the whole 3 hours.

New York City Part 1

Visiting New York City with children is not the same as visiting the Big Apple with just your husband.  We took all 4 kids for a quick 2 day trip.  We had planned on visiting the Statue of Liberty and going to a Yankee game, but the kids pretty much wanted to stay in Toys R Us the whole time.  So the Statue of Liberty will have to wait until they are a little older.  We did go to the American Girl store, FAO Schwarz, Toys R Us (3 times) and the Hershey and M&M store- the places that kids enjoy! 

100 Days of School

Today we celebrated 100 days of school~ It did not go as planned. I had made cupcakes, and bought craft stuff, invited a couple of their friends over to celebrate with us, and then we got hit with the stomach bug. So we canceled everything, and just did school, and then I let the kids make some craft stuff. Oh, and the cupcakes~ well my littlest little monster knocked them off the counter and they ended up on the ground~ so Hurray for 100 days of school-only 70 more to go!

The kids in the snow

The kids couldn't wait to get in the snow.  I bought them all boots, and snow pants and the girls went out that night.  It was freezing cold, but they loved it anyway.

My little man wasn't as thrilled with the snow, he lasted 20 minutes before he had to come in and get warm!  The baby didn't venture out yet!
