I am Weary

Weariness  is defined as:
1 : exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor, or freshness

2 : expressing or characteristic of weariness

3 : having one's patience, tolerance, or pleasure exhausted

I have to tell you, today this describes me to a T.   I am so weary!  I have had my fill of my children's endless chatter, always asking questions that really need no answer.  My children, like most children, talk non-stop from sun up till sun down.  Where can I escape?

I tried to escape them at the grocery store the other day.  I decided to take advantage of the child care center in the store.  I had never used it and thought what a marvelous idea!  I can grocery shop without 4 little helpers.  Wrong- they only take kids 3-8 so the child I most wanted to put in their I couldn't.  Then half way through my shopping I heard my name being paged over the loud speaker- seriously, I was only gone 30 minutes before someone had to use the bathroom!

I tried to escape them at the YMCA so I could exercise- I end up finding my youngest two in time out because they were fighting with each other.  I am so weary of the fighting!   I am even weary in my exercising~ what started out so fun has become a chore.  I have made it to 18 pounds lost and now and stuck trying to lose the last 12.

I am weary with the decisions that life brings us.  Do I send my kids to camp or not?

Do we home school again in the fall or send them to private school?   Where are we going to live in the fall?

And I am even weary in blogging.  I have sent out over 30 emails to company's and only 1 of them responded.  I would like to start a new segment on my blog all about Handmade products, again no response.
It's just all so wearisome.

Then I remember the following verses:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matt.11:28

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Gal. 6:9

Hopefully the next time I am feeling weary I can call these verses to mind and know that it is not all in vain and there is someone ready to give me rest.

I feel the same way. Thank you for the verses, I hope they bring us both some peace.
