The Girls from Ames - book review

The Girls from Ames A Story of Women & a Forty-Year Friendship by Jeffrey Zaslow.

The Girls from Ames is a wonderful book based on the lives of eleven women who grew up in Ames, Iowa.  The women open up their hearts and lives and share about true friendship.
From elementary school, high school, college and then  marriage and family they have been together through it all.  Friends for forty years they have shared the ups and downs of life, and show the real meaning of friendship.

Author Jeffrey Zaslow is offered a unique look into the lives of the women from Ames.  He visits them on one of their reunions and gets an honest look into each one of the women's lives.

I loved this book.  It was like standing on the outside of a window and watching the lives of these women and all they have gone through and shared.  Truly amazing to see how they have gone from childhood friends to adult friends.  You will get a glimpse of each women and who they were as a child and what they have become as a women.
I would recommend this book to everyone, there is something to be learned from these women on the value of friendship.
