Why are we always last?

The WE I am referring to is MOMS.  Why are we the ones who are always last?  I was reminded of this yesterday as I was getting my family something to eat.
It was late and everyone was hungry, so I was running around getting what everyone asked for.  Everyone was ate the table eating when my daughter came up to get seconds.  Then she stopped and said "Mom, aren't you going to eat?"   I replied sure, but when you are the Mom you eat when everyone else has  their food.

Why do we as Moms put ourselves last?
For example all I have to do is look in the mirror and I know I have put myself last- I need a hair cut like you would not believe, but I still can't find the time for ME to go get it done!  I need to have blood work done, um it was supposed to be done last week, but again, finding the time is so hard!
Are you like this?   Do you always put yourself last?
If you have found a way not be be last, would you share it with me, I would love to hear how you do it!

This weekend is Mother's Day~ I hope that if you are like me and can't find the time for yourself, that this weekend you are able to find just a little bit of ME time!

I too use to always put myself last and still do at times. I use to let my hair go and it really needed a to be trimmed b/c of splits. Well, then I went to a ladies retreat on yr and it was on the virtous woman. But anyways after that I came to realize I am setting a example to my kids. If I don't take care of myself as a mother then when they have kids are they going to do the same thing. So, now I make sometime. I get a babysitter, or hubby to watch the kids. It's all about time managment.I know with having lots of kids there is never enough you time. As I have 6.

I am the same way, and it makes me grouchy and miserable. But I don't know how to change it. I'm hoping it's not so bad when your kids get a little older and are more independent. With a newborn and a 2-year-old who are always dependent on me, it's pretty hard to find any me time. Geez, I'd settle for a few hours of uninterrupted sleep! But getting my hair done or having a day to myself? That would be heavenly!!!
