Chick-Fila-A ~ Oh, how I love you

It is no secret that Chick-Fil-A is my family's favorite place to eat.  When we moved from Texas to New York, we discovered that there is no Chick-Fil-A in our area.  In fact, the closest one is in another state 2 1/2 hours away.
Guess what we did this weekend?  Yep, we drove to another state just to eat at our beloved Chick-Fil-A!  We haven't eaten there in almost 5 months!  We were some very happy people when we left there!
In case you have never eaten at or heard of Chick-Fil-A let me just tell you why we love it.
10 Reasons why we love Chick-Fil-A
  1. The chicken is the best- it is fried in peanut oil, so it tastes so much better!
  2. Waffle Fries- need I say more.
  3. Hand-made Homespun Milkshakes
  4. Ice dream- that is what their ice cream is called.
  5. They serve breakfast~ yes I have been know to eat at Chick-fil-a for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  6. Kid Meals- they are much cheaper than any other kid meal I have ever gotten.
  7. Kid Meal toy- you will find a book or educational toy- no junk, and some restaurants will let you trade in the toy for an ice dream cone.
  8. Soup- my favorite chicken noodle soup ever!
  9. Family nights- most franchises will have a family or kid night with an activity for the kids or kids eat free with a paying adult.
  10. They are closed on Sundays~ I love that they do this, though we have forgotten and driven up only to remember that it was a Sunday and they were closed.
I could go on and on, but you get my point!
I will say this, we had visited so many times, that one of the employees actually recognized my kids at a sporting event, and called out to them by name! I asked my kids who she was and they said it's the Chick-fil-a lady, Mom.  I was a little embarrassed that she knew us only because we were always at her restaurant!

***Disclaimer*** I was not paid for this post, nor am I affiliated with Chick-fil-a. These are my own thoughts and this is my own opinion and yours may differ.   I would never say no if they offered though!!!

I'm a big fan of them too, though I don't have to drive quite that far to the mall to get one. It's hard to resist them when you go to the mall though - you can smell it a mile away. So good!!

Stopping by from SITS for your Feature Day!!

What a great plug for Chick-fil-A! We had one in the mall across from our church and one year, they gave us free coupons for all the Vacation Bible School workers! That was really nice of them.

Congrats on your SITS day!

I used to only get Chik Fil 'A when traveling for work. Then a couple of years ago they came to our area (Southern California).

Oh happy day!

Have a great SITS day. Love your website.

I would suggest sending your blog posting to the company. They may send you some coupons.

I am pleased to hear it was worth the drive.

Happy SITS day.

I love Chick-fil-a (went there this morning, in fact), but I don't think I'd drive that far just to have it! I didn't grow up with it, though, so perhaps I don't have as much of the addiction built up.

Chic-fil-a is also one of my favorite places. I love the Chicken strips salad and those milkshakes are to die for!

I'd never eaten at a Chic-Fil-A till we moved to FL. You're right - they do have some of the best fast food around.

There's definitely NO chick-fil-a in Mexico. I did have one where I grew up, though, and I miss it dearly. :( We don't have arby's, either!!!!

2 and a half hours? now THAT'S dedication!

Lucky me to live in Atlanta, not far from the CFA headquarters - that means there's a CFA anywhere we go in the city. One not far from me has a professional clown on family night who does AWESOME face painting for free (food is reg price).

Happy SITS Day!

We love Chic-fil-A too. I had no idea that the chicken was fried in peanut oil. No wonder it's so good. And the kids toys are the best, not some weird stupid toy from a movie I'm never going to let them see.
