I absolutely hate to shop for myself~ I know, I know you are thinking what you hate shopping! Yes, I Do! I hate shopping! My mom and sister have told me they would nominate me for What Not To Wear, even my 6 and 8 year old have told me I need to get help~
This weekend I wanted to find an Easter dress, nothing like waiting till the last minute I know! So I grabbed the kids and off we went. I found 2 dresses I liked- on the hanger- not on me. Have you ever been in a fitting room with 4 kids and a stroller? Let me assure you it is not for the faint of heart. My kids love to see mom in the dressing room~ you can hear the laughter all the way outside. It goes something like this:
Mom- is that a shirt? No, dear it's a dress, it just doesn't fit mommy like it should.
Mom- I see your underwear! Yes, dear I know! Laughter from the lady next door.
Mom- I have to go potty! Seriously- now? My kids always have to potty at the wrong time!
Mom- you look pretty-(my 3 year old son) Thank you son, but no you are not getting a toy!
Needless to say- no dress!
And shoe shopping- nope no shoes either- but the girls each got a pair- oh to have small feet again- sigh!

I honestly do NOT go shopping with my kids alone. I I have a 2.5 year old daughter and my son will be 1 on Sunday. I have not gone shopping with them alone except for grocery shopping. In fact, the last time I got clothes it was at a store my mother in law owns and she was there with me. Nope, it is certainly so much more trouble that people think - and you have 4! WOW!
I have not bought new shoes in about a year. I am just not a shopper. My poor shoes are just disgusting, so it is probably about time but I am like you, not exactly in love with shopping!
