Buried Alive by Roy Hallums- Book Review

Buried Alive written by Roy Hallums.  This is a true story of kidnapping, captivity, and a dramatic rescue.  Roy Hallums was an American contract worker in Iraq during 2004, when he was kidnapped one November evening.  The book is his true account of how he was taken and held captive for 311 days.  Roy Hallums was able to stay alive and able to account for all the horrible things that happened to him during his captivity.
The book is a chilling reminder of what goes on in Iraq.  He is able to tell a story with such vividness that you feel like you are there along with him.
The book tells of how he spent each of his days, what his family was going through, and how his rescuers were hard at work searching for him.

At first I wasn't sure if I would like this book, but it was a non-stop read.  I didn't want to put it down!  Roy Hallums story is one of horror, and yet he was able to keep his faith through it all.
The dramatic rescue makes you very glad to be an American, and reminds us to remember our troops who are hard at work protecting America.  This is a must read!

***Disclaimer***I was not paid for this post.  I was sent a free copy of this book through the Book Sneeze program, in exchange for my honest review.
