The Language of Love & Respect- Book Review

The Language of Love & Respect Cracking The Communication Code With Your Mate was written by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.
This book is about the communication problems that many married couples go through everyday. Dr. Eggerichs gives practical steps in trying to communicate with your spouse. The author describes the way women and men hear and think differently. Men hear and think in "blue" and women hear and think in "pink". He gives different steps in how to communicate with one another so that we can hear and think like our spouse. Men and women are different and each need different things. For men they need and want respect, and for women they need and want love.
Dr. Eggerichs gives different acronyms and terms to help men and women try to better communicate with each other. There is C-H-A-
I-R-S and C-O-U-P-L-E. As well as three different cycles that couple go through, the crazy cycle, the energizing cycle, and the reward cycle.
I gave this book 3 stars, because it is too long, and there are too many steps and acronyms. I usually read a book in a very short time, but could not get into this one. It seemed a little repetive.
